After all, it is not everyday that you have the opportunity to cross a narrow, 1.2-metre-wide bridge set somewhere between 1,110 and 1,116 metres above sea level. To sustain the bridge, six supporting ropes and 60 wind ropes of different diameters were required to build the 721-metre-long bridge, according to the official website. Visitors can reach the venue with the help of a cable car and then take a walk. Once you exit the bridge, a pristine forest view awaits you. Beer Day Britain (the UK’s annual national beer day) will happen again on June 15th.

With pubs, taprooms, and bars re-opening these are reasons to celebrate and drink beer.   Britons have repeatedly said throughout the pandemic how much they miss meeting friends to drink beer in the pub so Beer Day Britain is a perfect reason to get together for a beer.

Beers are generally divided into two families; lager and ale. They’re both made roughly the same way, but lager is fermented using a bottom-feeding yeast. They take between four and five weeks to ferment, and do so at between 3C to 10C. Top-feeding yeasts are used for ales. This only takes five to ten days and the yeast forms a film at the top, functioning best at 20C to 25C. Other than that, both lager and ale use hops, malts, and water, but because lager has fewer sugars in the end result, it tastes crisper and cleaner compared to the richer ales.

Midsummer is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in Sweden. Traditionally a May pole is raised which people gather around to dance and sing. Some people wear folk costumes to honour their regions while celebratingMidsummer is a celebration of summer and light. It takes place in June.

Historically, this day marks the midpoint of the growing season, halfway between planting and harvest. It is traditionally known as one of four “Quarter Days” in some cultures. The night before Midsummer Day is called Midsummer Eve (June 23) which is on or near the shortest night of the year!

The successful midsummer never-ending lunch party formula involves flowers in your hair, dancing around a pole, singing songs while drinking unsweetened, flavoured schnapps. And downing a whole load of pickled herring served with delightful new potatoes, chives and sour cream. All in all, a grand day out.
