The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Its elevation is 12,500 ft. Kedarkantha is located within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district. A trek to the peak of Kedarkantha usually starts from Sankri, a small village, and takes four days to complete.


Kedarkantha is such a popular winter trek that it would be apt to entitle it as the Queen of Winter Treks. Bà Nà Hill Station is a hill station and resort located in the Trường Sơn Mountains west of the city of Da Nang, in central Vietnam. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Kahuzi Beiga national park is the only park that harbors these lowland gorillas in their natural habitat. The most convenient place to track lowland gorillas is in the Democratic Republic of Congo. DR Congo is a volatile country too but has become relatively peaceful in recent years as a result of having the largest UN peace keeping mission in the world. Visitors can track the Eastern lowland gorillas in either Kahuzi Biega National Park or the Western lowland gorillas at Maiko National Park. Kahuzi-Biega National Park is the only place where one can track Eastern lowland gorillas. About 400 Eastern lowland gorillas live in Kahuzi-Biega National Park in 9 groups.  Three of the nine groups have been habituated and are open for tracking. The park is located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo – near Bukavu and Lake Kivu. Named after Mount Kahuzi and Mount Biega, Kahuzi-Biega National Park is one of the largest game parks found in DR Congo. The terrain found in Kahuzi-Biega National Park provides perfect habitat for these great apes.

Waru pass lies to the northwest to Singhar Pass. Waru means “The gateway of Wind” and winds with very high velocity blow over this pass. The trek passes throught a number of intermediary ridges, dense forest, rivulets and snow nullahs. This trek is an easy one and poses no difficulty even for trekkers with little experience in trekking. Situated at 3850 meters, locals use this pass frequently to cross from Palampur to Chamba. Enroute Waru Pass we will get to see mesmerizing views of Dhauladhars, Kangra and Chamba valley. We will also cross Satchali, which has got it's name from seven different rivulets mingling together. It's a beautiful glacier. The chirping of the birds intermingled with the murmur of streams flowing down the valley makes the atmosphere very enchanting. There are some improved huts of Gujjars and shepherds and a rock shelter.
