Candolim is a quaint seaside town in the Bardez taluka in North Goa. Candolim Beach located in Goa is on the south of the popular Calangute Beach. Candolim is located about 13 kilometers from Panaji, the capital of Goa. While Goa is presently the most popular beach destination in the country, there are a few beaches that are always a part of the many itineraries of the destination. One such beach is the Candolim Beach in the northern part of Goa. 


Visited by a huge number of tourists not only different parts of the country but many other parts of the world, the Candolim Beach is located at a distance of about 15 km from Panjim, the state capital. The Candolim Beach in Goa is one of the longest in the entire state. It begins at Fort Aguada, which in itself a very popular destination, and stretches all the way merging the Calangute Beach in its path. In spite of being one of the most popular beaches in Goa, the Candolim Beach is counted among the most peaceful beaches in the state. While calmness prevails in this paradise of sun, sand and the sea, what adds an even bigger charm to the beauty of this place are the scrub-covered dunes at the back of the beach, which are particularly popular among the tourists. The hotels in Candolim Beach are also preferred by a lot of tourists who like to spend days in the silence of the place with nothing but the sound of the sea and the views of the beach in company. In fact, the Candolim Beach is considered to be an ideal place to take a break from everything for those who visit this place from the Rajneesh Ashram in Pune.

Eravikulam National Park situated along the summit of the Western Ghats in the high ranges of Idduki district of Kerala. This is also the land of "Neelakurinji", a flower that blooms once in twelve years. The Park is breathtakingly beautiful and is easily comparable to the best of mountain ranges in the Alps. With the highest peak south of the Himalayas – the Anamudi, located here, nature enthusiasts have ample opportunities for trekking expeditions and wildlife spotting.



The park which is also known as Rajamalai National Park was a hunting preserve for the British planters and was owned by Rajamalai and Eravikulam during the British rule and then was forked over to Kannan Deven Hills for tea plantation. Later the area was declared as sanctuary with an objective of protecting the indigenous population of Nilgiri Tahr (most endangered mountain goat) when founded in the year 1975 and was then upgraded as the national park in 1978.

The capital of the Czech Republic is one of the oldest city destinations in all of Europe. As early as the Middle Ages, traders and pilgrims praised the shimmering sandstone towers of "Golden Prague." Nowadays up to 30,000 people tread the well-known tourist paths through Staré Město, the Old Town. 


Prague's history as a European trading settlement began with the fortification of the castle hill, Hradčany, in the year 916. What followed was the building of churches, monasteries, palaces and the famous Charles Bridge, with its saints' statues. It links the castle with the Old Town on the other bank of the Vltava. The Old Town Hall tower is considered a medieval highlight because of its astronomical clock. Every hour, on the hour, everyone on the square looks up when the clockwork figures of the twelve apostles appear.   


Prague isn't known only as the "Golden City," but also as "Little Jerusalem." The Josefov, or Jewish quarter, is one of the oldest centers of Jewish culture in all Europe: with six synagogues, the Jewish Town Hall, on one of whose two clocks Hebrew numerals run counterclockwise, and the Old Jewish Cemetery, with its tightly packed gravestones.

The Naro Moru Route approaches from the West and KWS have a National Park Gate there and also their main headquarters for the mountain. There is accommodation available here also. This route used to be by far the most popular route as it is relatively short and has huts at Met Station (3050m) and MacKinders (4200m). However, it has been overtaken by the Sirimon route as the most popular. The huts are good at both locations and they also have camping space. The first day up to Met Station is on a vehicle track through the forest and bamboo. The second day goes through more bamboo and forest before emerging onto the alpine heath and following the Teleki Valley to MacKinders. You would usually then use the South approach to Point Lenana, passing another hut (Austrian Hut) at 4790m.


The forest is still dense on this route, as is the bamboo zone. You are quite likely to see bushbuck, Colobus monkey and Sykes Monkey and also evidence of Buffalo and Elephant. The hygenia forest is also in good condition with a lot of flowers and other plants. The giant heathers above the forest were heavily damaged by a fire in 2013 but the alpine moorland has a lot of Giant Lobelia as well as MacKinders Gladiolus higher up. The Teleki Valley has a lot of the classic Tree and Cabbage Groundsels as well as Lobelia Telekii and Deckenii. Some of the cabbage groundsels in particular absolutely massive. On the approach to or at MacKinders you are almost guaranteed to see Rock Hyrax.

This island between South and Middle Andaman has beautiful beaches, mangrove creeks, mud-volcanoes and limestone caves. The limestone caves can be explored with the permission of the Forest Department at Baratang under proper local guidance. From Baratang Island (Nilambur Jetty), the limestone caves are about a half an hour boat ride through a wide creek, which leads to Nayadera Jetty and a further one and a half kilometre walk through the tropical forest. 



The mud volcano, which is formed by natural gases emitted by decaying organic matter underground, is accessible by roads leading from the Nilambur jetty. As the mud is pushed upwards by the gas, it deposits and hardens above the ground. As more mud oozes out and spills over the edge, it grows in size, gradually forming a miniature volcano with a rich and creamy mud crater at the top. There is also a small uninhabited island located near Baratang Jetty, best visited in the evening to see thousands of parrots descending every evening, earning it the name, Parrot Island.

Giza's Great Pyramid (also called the Pyramid of Cheops) is not only this ancient site's most famous monument but one of the most well-known monuments in the world. It was built by the Pharaoh Khufu (commonly called by its Greek transliteration of Cheops) and was known to the ancient Egyptians as Ekhet Khufu ("Horizon of Khufu").


According to Herodotus, 100,000 men worked on its construction for three months every year. This mammoth structure's cubic content is staggering. Excluding the rock foundation and the interior chambers, the Great Pyramid is 2.3 million cubic meters. The base measurement is 227.5 meters, and the vertical height is 137.2 meters.
