Fireflies festival 2022 Mumbai arrives before the monsoon starts the weather between summer and rainy season, a period of one month where you can see Firefly.


These tiny female fireflies sparkle and shine to emit a glow. It’s nature’s own light show. Fireflies typically use bioluminescent to shine at twilight to attract mates. Firefly in my room lighting bugs brings magic to your summer night. Play with these little creatures while they keep amusing you all night long. Photographers, be ready with your cameras, to capture the sight and save it forever. Add to this the fun of a camping night in the folds of majestic Sahyadri.

Fireflies can be spotted in dark spots around Maharashtra like Lonavala, Naneghat, Purushwadi, Siddhagad Fort, Kothaligad Fort, Rajmachi Fireflies festival at Udhewadi, Bhandardara Dam, Harishchandragad Kalsubai Forest Area, Ghatghar Dam, Samrad Village and Igatpuri. Firefly Festival is held at these beautiful locations across Maharashtra. Most campsites are by the lake, river, and beautiful hilltop overlooking the picturesque Sahyadri. The area is surrounded by thick woods, making the area perfect for camping. The experience of camp life here is something to remember. The festival has many activities like campfire, bonfire, hiking and camping.

Flamingos have been flocking the waters of Navi Mumbai  every year and have acquired a place on the list of tourists, travellers, and residents alike, to see a glimpse of this pink army of birds. mid the weather turning almost red hot, Mumbaikars got a visual respite as hordes of migratory birds flew in the state on April 26. The most attention-catching among the lot were the delicate flamingos that waded through the creek located in Navi Mumbai.

Thousands of flamingos made their entry into Mumbai. A few days ago, a huge number of small and big flamingos flocked to the Navi Mumbai area and it appeared like the Mumbai waters had turned pink in colour. It is believed that these birds migrate from Gujarat to Maharashtra during the summer season in search of food and water. The sight of flamingos was worth watching. It looked very beautiful. The entire Navi Mumbai area was covered in pink colour and this sight attracted many visitors. People from nearby areas and cities came to see how the shore had turned so beautiful. 

Every year, flamingos flock to Mumbai from Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, and countries like Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Israel, where it is said that they are mostly found and breed.

1. Ponmudi Hills, Kerala

The scenic hills of the Western Ghats, mist-covered valleys, lush tea plantations and forest-lands combine to create the spectacular natural landscape of this hill station. 2. Nighoj, Maharashtra

Nighoj is a small village located in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, and home to naturally created potholes carved into the basalt river bed. These dramatic pot-shaped craters of various sizes and shapes are said to have been formed by the waters of Kukadi River over 1000 years ago. They are thought to be Asia’s largest natural potholes. The best time to see them is in the summer, when the water level is low–just be sure to wear sturdy footwear to walk on the rocks!

3. Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, Madhya Pradesh

Interested in knowing about the earliest human habitation in the Indian subcontinent? Head to Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh. This place is home to a series of rock shelters with artwork dating as far back as 30,000 years, thus showcasing the signs of human evolution. Early denizens left their mark on the rock shelters by painting animals, human figures, battle scenes and celebrations in different geometrical shapes on the walls. Located about 35 miles from the nearest city (Bhopal), the rock shelter’s isolation helped preserve its prehistoric art. The best time to visit is April to October. The rock shelters are closed during monsoon.

4. Majuli, Assam

Set on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, Majuli is considered to be one of the largest river islands in the world. It brims with lush greenery, vibrant culture, diverse flora and fauna, and warm and welcoming tribal inhabitants that will make the trip here unforgettable. Stroll around the island and make a point of visiting the Vishnu monastery that dates back to the 15th century. You can also spot a variety of birds species here, making it a paradise for twitchers. A boat tour is the best way to observe the winged beauties of this island.

5. Jawai, Rajasthan

An unmissable place for wildlife enthusiasts is Jawai, located in the Pali district of Rajasthan. This is one of the best places in the country to spot a leopard in the daytime, so it is called the ‘Leopard Hills of India’. Several migratory birds and wild animals are found in the area, including cranes, flamingos, sloth bears, antelopes, and Indian wolves. You can stay at the Jawai Leopard Camp, which is a luxury tented camp hosted by Sujan Luxury Camps & Palaces. The Haro Wine Festival is a summer festival in the town of Haro, Spain. It features a Batalla de Vino and youth bullfights. It is considered a “Festival of International Tourist Interest” and, therefore, is very tourist friendly. The festival takes place on June 29, the day of the patron saint San Pedro.


The Haro Wine Festival involves thousands of people soaking themselves, and everybody around them, in red wine then rushing off to run around a bull ring chasing frolicking heifers and then heading off to a party. That’s La Batalla del Vino in a nutshell. Held in the historic, picturesque town of Haro, in the Rioja region, about 100 kilometres south of Bilbao, thousands of people turn up for one of Spain’s most exuberant festivals every June 29th, Saint Peter’s Day.

Haro is in what is now known as Rioja Alta, where about 40% of the region’s vineyards can be found, and is a town totally devoted to the grape. The Museo del Vino and the number of bodegas open to the public all give evidence of just how vital wine production is to the town’s economy. And the Batalla del Vino is just the ultimate celebration of wine.

Kedarnath is one of the most sacred pilgrimages of Lord Shiva situated in Rudraprayag district of Garhwal region in Uttarakhand.
