Divine Trio- Kashi, Prayag & Ayodhya





One would be hard-pressed to find a set of locations in India that are as indicative and encapsulating of our unique culture and traditions as the buzz, the routine and the lifestyle of the some of the most sacred cities that are located in the country’s Hindi heartland. Looking even more specifically, the states of Uttar Pradesh  hold some of the most revered sites among people who are worshippers of the Hindu faith. A lot of this has to do with the fact that the holy Ganga River flows through much of Uttar Pradesh. Some of the cities in these two states form the setting for some of the most iconic stories ever told in Indian mythology, such as the Ramayana.


The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Vishwanath Gali of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in India. The Temple stands on the western bank of the holy river Ganga, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, or Jyotirlingams, the holiest of Shiva Temples.Prayag is a historical name of the area near the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers in the in northern India.Ayodhya, also called Oudh or Awadh, town, south-central Uttar Pradesh state, northern India. It lies on the Ghaghara River just east of Faizabad.
