Picturesque Paro



Surrounded by untainted wilderness and willow trees lining its meandering roads, Paro is a quaint little town in the picturesque Paro valley of Bhutan. This lovely town is a true Bhutanese gem with something or the other in store for all its visitors. From historic fortresses and ruins, sacred sites of monasteries, to pretty sights of apple orchards, there is absolutely no dearth of places to visit in Paro.



With a plethora of bewitching places to visit in Paro with scenic Himalayan ranges, pristine lakes, lush valleys, and beguiling Buddhist temples, the quaint little town has made its way to the bucket list of every travelers' dream destination. The primary attractions of Para are the monasteries like Tiger's Nest Monastery and Rinpung Dzong Monastery that are perched serenely amidst the hills filling the air with spirituality.


To marvel at the best panoramic views of the verdant Paro valley, Airport Viewpoint is the place to go. Chele La Pass is an adventure zone for the bikers and hikers to go on an expedition. For a break from the monastery sightings, head for places to see in Paro like Tachog Lhakhang Old Bridge, Bondey village, and Drakey Pang Tso lake where Nature is preserved in its purest form. The Weekend Market in Paro has amazing shops selling handcrafted prayer wheels and bowls made by local artisans to go on a shopping spree.
