The latest travel rankings by the US News and World Report ranked Dubai as the tenth best destination in the world, and number one place to visit in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena), thanks to its mega attractions, spectacular “Persian Gulf views” and adrenaline-pumping activities.

Zanzibar is an archipelago of four islands off the coast of East Africa. Its main island, Unguja, is often referred to as Zanzibar. Because of its strategic location along the spice and slave trade routes in the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar has been a stronghold for many countries throughout its history. Oman even declared Zanzibar its capital for 30 years in 1832. Zanzibar then became a British protectorate until it joined Tanganyika in the 1960s to form Tanzania.

Zanzibar is very close to the equator, and because of that, the temperatures are steady throughout the year, going from warm to quite hot (77 degrees to slightly above 85 degrees), with the advantage of a fresh sea breeze reaching you nearly everywhere on the island.
