Everybody always talks about the Malana trek but the picturesque Kheerganga is much more rewarding. You can take a long soothing dip in the natural sulphur hot water springs after a visually enchanting trek up the mountains. Kheerganga has much to offer to the avid traveller – panoramic views, quaint camps, amazing hill flora, mesmerising starry skies and YES awesome kheer.
March to early June is the best time to visit Kasol and Kheerganga, if you prefer warmer weather and spring. But it would be ideal from November to early December or late in January – February if you wanted to hike in the snow and expect colder weather! This adventure hike is a simple level hike. The terrain of the walk is a gentle slope and mostly a steep slope for a few short parts. Moreover, the fact that the trek lasts three days for a short distance of 25 km makes this trek a simple one, ideal for beginners! As you travel to Kasol, take care to explore the famous Israeli cafés and shops for beautiful souvenirs.
